Why books go unread

Host : Why do you think that is? Why haven't you read those 50 books?

David : Well believe me, I didn't plan it that way. I still think those unread books are great, but I just haven't had time to get around to them.

But that's the nice thing about audio tapes. You just pop them in your player and let someone else do the reading for you. Plus, you can listen to the programs again and again to remind yourself of the material.

Host : So convenience is a big reason why you went with audio tapes?

David : Right. However, we've begun to move into other distribution methods.

Host : What do you mean by that?

David : Here's a couple of examples. With the rise of the Internet we've arranged to license and distribute many of our audio programs through third parties like Audio Highway and AudioNet.

Audio Highway sells an electronic gizmo that enables you to download commercial-supported audio programs over the Internet. After you've downloaded a program, you can take the player with you in your car or on your walk.

But most of this is still in it's infancy and doesn't have the commercial-free convenience you can get with audio tapes right now.
